Bente Kahan (Norway)
Due to her charismatic stage presence, her expressive voice, and her authentic interpretation, the Norwegian Jewish actress and singer is one of the most popular representatives of Jewish music in Europe.
The songs of her program "Home" extend from medieval Andalusia to our time. They tell the story of the Kahan family that can be traced back to the Jewish communities of Spain and retrieved in present-day Norway, Israel and the U.S. In this respect, this collection of songs can be regarded as representative of European Jewishness.
